We were flooded on June 25 last year. We are pensioners and decided to live upstairs. We had Rainbow International of Hertfordshire to dry us out. They came every single week, and we were very happy with what they did for us. They gave us the dried out certificate on September 3 and the plaster was removed straight away. September, October and November went by and, despite us ringing our insurer lots of times, it had come to a standstill.

Then we heard about a builder who doesn't live far away from us - Wayne Bissel, of Total Improvements. He came to see us on November 21 and started our refit on November 26. He promised to have it completed for Christmas (which, at that time, was hard to believe). But with his efficient gang of workmen (about 13 of them) we had our carpets laid and furniture back on December 21. We would just like to thank them all for doing such a great job for us and making our Christmas a good one, which we didn't expect to have.
